A night with one direction...
Hi everyone sorry I went missing for a while sixth form took over my whole life for a bit but I am now back to blogging!
I was a huge one direction fan back in the day so news of their upcoming break up was a difficult time for me ;)! If you have been living under a rock for the past 5 years and don't know who one direction are, they are the most famous and successful pop band, made up of members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson (previous member Zayn Malik). They held their final London tour dates from the 24th-30th of September, this would be their last time performing as a band due to their forthcoming break for various reasons. Myself and my friend Maisie had not bought tickets and had a last minute panic a few days before the first date about getting tickets. We decided to enter a competition via twitter with @VibeTickets and we won woooo! The company have great customer service and a brand new app out which you should go and download it allows you to buy second hand tickets at reasonable prices!
We had an amazing night and going back to see them made my inner 13 year old fan girl resurface (I thought my crush on Niall was dead and buried how wrong I was).
After this night myself and Maisie decided we would go again and get tickets for the front section, we found some tickets which were right next to the catwalk. Yes I was close enough to touch Harry Styles!! The atmosphere at a One Direction concert will never fail to amaze me as soon as the lights go down for the boys to come on the atmosphere is insane, the screaming of everyone in the room is so overpowering. They start with a song from their newest album four called clouds this is personally one of my favourite songs as its really upbeat and I feel they perform it really well. Harry Style's as a performer is phenomenal he doesn't stop interacting with the audience the whole night, he is such a captivating personality who was born to be on stage. They performed many of their well known songs such as little things, what makes you beautiful, no control, kiss you, story of my life and night changes. Having seen the band as a five piece with Zayn Malik I have to say his exit from the band didn't effect this tour and when performing songs he was previously a part of, it was performed as if he was never in the band. Niall Horan as a performer is underrated his guitar skills are incredible and he really does help with the contribution to the band, especially when playing slower numbers. They performed my favourite song which is act my age, the song is so cheerful, upbeat and catchy; plus the lyrics are relatable when you think to the future. The night was amazing and ended with their new single drag me down which was a great ending song and they really put their all into their ending song even though they must've been drained from the stress and demand of the tour so far. The change from being at the back of the arena to the front was amazing and I recommend any one direction fans to go see them on their last tour as they truly are amazing performers!
I hope you enjoy the video I put up of harry, head over to my social media (links on the right hand side) to check out more cool footage and pictures of the boys in action!
Thanks for reading guys,
Maisie :)
