I am a cotton-headed ninnymoggins...
Hey guys! So summer has well and truly been left behind and winter is soon arriving. Winter and Christmas are by far my favourite time of the year, as you can tell by the title of this blog - Elf has to be one of my all time favourite films. I know many of you will be sad about the end of the summer, longer days, warmer weather and summer holidays but rejoice at the arrival of autumn and winter!
However if you are feeling unenthusiastic about the approach of winter, then take tips and become motivated about the changing of the seasons! Below are some of my favourite things about this season to inspire you to get into the festive mood. Hope you enjoy!
1. Clothes. Being able to wear fluffy jumpers, chunky socks, cute beanies and stay snug.
2. Food. Stews, soups, casseroles and lots of chocolate. It's the one time of the year you wont be judged for the amount you pile onto your plate.
3. Hot drinks. The range brought into coffee shops of different flavours always brings you that little bit of excitement. Almond hot chocolate is always a personal favourite.
4. Fireworks night. Sets you up for the atmosphere of Christmas, I feel like fireworks night signifies the end of Autumn.

5. Dark nights and sparkly lights. Although the realisation by the time you finish work at 4 the drive home will be in the dark, at least the scenery becomes a lot nicer with all the Christmas lights displayed.
6. Sundays. We all know Sundays are the best day of the week but sitting by a warm fire at home watching a Christmas film typically provided by Channel 5 seem to just make it that bit better.
7. Family. Being able to spend quality time with loved ones during such a special time helps create the memories that will stick with you forever.
8. A white Christmas. The thought of many can be unappealing, but mornings with fresh snow laid on the ground just looks so picturesque and having to stay home from work tucked in bed makes it so much better.
9. Christmas film marathons. Being able to laze around in pyjamas all day to watch Christmas films. My favourites are of course Elf, Home Alone, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Grinch, A Christmas Carol and I Saw Mummy Kissing Santa Clause.

10. 51 days to go....
Thanks for reading guys,
Maisie :)
