First my mum, forever my friend...

Hey Guys! As it is nearly mothers day in the UK I thought I would write a blog post
on the things that you and your mum might do that prove your best friends.

1. When someone asks "Who do you admire the most?" "Who is your role model?" - you answer "my mum" every time.
2. You will often brag to people about how lucky you are to have the best mum ever.
3. Seeing your mum being appreciated on Mother's day for how amazing she is, will never stop warming your heart.
4. When your not shopping with your mum, you send pictures of potential outfits from the changing room to still get her opinion.
5. She is without a doubt your biggest supporter and if it wasn't for her you wouldn't of had the courage to do most things.
6. You never have to worry about her judging you.
7. You keep every birthday and Christmas card she gives you, just because you cant bare to throw them away.
8. Your mums cooking is better than ANYONE else's. You also get super defensive when someone else suggests their mums roast dinners are better.
9. You have a genuine fear of loosing her or anything happening to her.
10. You cant remember a time when it felt like she was bored of hearing all your problems no matter how little they were.
11. She wont hold back on any of her opinions and she is always right.
12. She makes it clear just how proud of you she is.
13. You think she is the best even when she thinks she messes up.
14. Her words of affirmation are the ones you value and need the most.
15. You can call her at any time and know she will be there for you.

You have a special place in my heart, as you have been my hero from the start.

This is my beautiful mum, who has made me into the person I am today. She has taken on the role of being a mum and a dad for a long while and I am so grateful for the love and affection she has shown me my whole life. My mum is such a strong and courageous woman who has overcome so much. I don't know many people who could've handled some of the things you have been through whilst keeping a smile on their face. You've always helped me to believe in myself and achieve what I have so far.
Just remember mum, I love you - even when I roll my eyes at you.

Thanks for reading guys,
Maisie :)
